Happy Humpday, my gorgeous friends!

Blanket scarves have been all the rage for the past few years now and understandably so, they're just so comfy! At the same time, they tend to be very bulky, since they're oversized and if you have a larger bust, this may not be the effect you want to create when wearing a scarf; I totally understand. If that's the case, I think you can still wear them in a way that's more figure flattering, specifically as a vest or cardigan with the addition of a waist belt, like I've done in a previous post here. By wearing the scarf this way, you're not only creating a flattering emphasis to your waist line, but you're also creating a more visually slimming effect, since the eyes are moving downward, instead of focusing on your bust and midsection ;)

Happy Monday, my dear friends

How many of you had a four day weekend and braved the Black Friday crowds? Did you score any major deals? Well, if waking up extremely early and braving long lines for savings isn't your thing, thank goodness for Cyber Monday where you can shop and save from the comfort of your own home or office (shhh, haha, do it on your lunch break ;) I decided to share pieces that are essential for the upcoming winter/holiday season, with a little flare; I mean how gorgeous is that pink coat!?

Happy Friday, my beautiful friends!

Now that we have one holiday in the bag, we have a couple more to go, which tend to require more dressier outfits, opposite of the comfy and laid back ones we typically wear for Thanksgiving. I've shared my love for velvet numerous times since the start of the season; what I love most about the fabric is that it beautifully enhances any color, adding such a nice depth and intensity, especially in jewel toned colors, like this sapphire velvet suit I'm wearing. Remember I mentioned in  this post how universally flattering jewel toned colors are!?

Happy Humpday, friends!

As I've mentioned, I'll be hosting Thanksgiving at my place this year, which means I'll most likely be wearing a cute oversized sweater and leggings because it's cute, comfy, and practical for the chef, haha. But, if you'll be visiting someone's home for the holiday, you of course want to be a little more dressed up. I've been to family member's houses for the occasion and one thing I've learned is that it's imperative to wear clothing  that's both stylish and comfortable.

The easiest thing to wear and style would be a dress and one that's oversized or more of a shirtdress style is best because it'll help prevent attention being focused in on your food baby. Girl, if you ain't hungry, I'll gladly take your plate, okaaay! haha

Happy Monday, my sweet friends!

I'm sporting my favorite color this season, burgundy. I'm sure you haven't seen it enough here, huh!? Lol. I love the way black and burgundy look paired together, I feel it gives off a chic and somewhat glamorous feel, especially when there's a bit of gold thrown into the mix, like I did with this gold waist belt. Most of the time, I like adding a waist belt to my faux fur vests, unless I'm going for an extremely casual outfit, like the one I wore last month (check it out here).

Happy Friday, friends!

I decided to pair the orange dress with a pair of burgundy ankle boots and a matching purse. You may have noticed that I often match my shoes and purse. Not only is this a classic styling method, but it really helps to add a cohesive element to your outfit, making it appear thought out and polished. I love the way the this shade of orange looks paired with burgundy; I feel it's perfect for this time of year!

Happy Tuesday, friends!

I'm really excited about today's post because it's in collaboration with a fellow blogger, who's become a friend of mine through the blogosphere these past few years, Lauren Farrel! Lauren is a sportswear inspired fashion blogger and she has her own line of fashionable sports fan accessories, which includes jersey and football inspired purses from your favorite NFL teams (all are stadium friendly and are comprised of the most fine, high quality Italian leather) and now her latest addition, these removable tassels in the colors of your favorite team.

Happy Monday, friends!

There are a number of patterns that I tend to reserve for fall and winter, one of which is camo. What I love about the classic color scheme is that it can serve as a neutral, allowing for you to either create an outfit entirely comprised of neutrals or experiment with pops of color of your choice, today I chose pink. I love the juxtaposition that pink creates when added into the mix, balancing out the rather tough and edgy vibe the camo gives off. When I'm feeling extra bold, I love to pattern mix with some of my other beloved fall patterns, which I discussed in my...

Happy Friday, my beautiful friends!

You all know how I love my cozy outfits for the weekends and since we're in November, what better time to pull out a cozy orange sweater?! Well, except for October, but you guys, when I think of November, I think of orange, so bear with me, haha.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a weekend outfit featuring these same flares with a cozy cardigan and ankle boots. This time around, I wanted to dress them up a bit more with a pair of leopard pointed-toe pumps. Honestly, they're my favorite kind of shoe (pointed-toe), they just add a dresser vibe, regardless of the shoe style and make for a much more flattering ensemble overall. I've shared countless times how they can help lengthen the leg area, making them the perfect option for every body type and height.

Happy Humpday, friends!

How's you're week going so far!? I've mentioned at the start of fall that mustard yellow is one of the popular color trends this season and it makes for a super trendy outfit when paired with pink, as we've discussed in this post. I feel since it's a bit of an uncommon color, we can often scratch our heads at the thought of trying to think of colors that would make for a great combination. Aside from pink, I think shades of purple work just as great, though not as unexpected. I mean, I'm not going to lie, I do think of the LA Lakers. I know, me and my color analogies; remember the mustard and red color combo?! Yup, I bet you now think of McDonalds after reading that post, lol!
