Happy Monday, lovelies!

Many of you know that I was raised in New York, the Bronx. I feel that growing up in such a multicultural environment is what contributed to my diverse or eclectic style. However, when I was younger, my style was very urban! I had Timberland boots in every color, as well as the latest Jordan and Huarache sneakers. It was a big deal as an urban teen to have the latest of those kicks; it was apart of the urban culture! Now, of course my style has changed immensely, but I do sometimes feel inspired to take to my urban roots with looks like these, from time to time. Does your environment influence your style?

Hey Lovelies!

I'm a '90s kid and proud of it! To me, the youth of today are totally missing out. I mean, yeah, they have all this advanced technology, but it still doesn't compare to my era and if your'e a '90s kid, I know you agree! Yup, we...

Happy Thursday, loves

Can you believe that we're only two weeks away from Thanksgiving?! It's crazy, I know! With it just being right around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some findings from an article I stumbled upon from the Daily Mail, a UK news source, on how the different food cravings vary between 3 different body shapes: inverted triangle, apple and pear shapes. You know that this is the heart and soul of The Style Contour; providing you with multiple ways to embrace your body shape, so I just had to share!

Happy hump day, friends

What better color comes to mind during the fall other than burgundy?! It's a color that looks great on everyone and the richness of it makes it ideal for the creation of a perfect fall pairing. One way I love to wear this color is with a crisp white piece, in today's case, a crisp white button-up! I feel the white really helps to bring out the rich berry color! I also wanted to touch upon midi skirts. They...

Happy Monday, beauties!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are off to a great start to your week! So it's been a little mild here on the east coast and from what I've heard, in parts of Europe, too! Has it been that way in your neck of the woods?! Since it's been so lovely, I've been taking advantage by wearing lighter pieces that still exude a fall vibe, like this look. Let me tell you, I felt so girly in this skirt, which I scored at Marshall's, it's by Kate Spade SATURDAY (I've tried to find it everywhere to share it, but can't find it :( , over the summer. All I really felt like doing was twirling around in circles, think Maria in The Sound of Music singing The Hills Are Alive, haha! You've heard me mention many times just how flattering the circle or skater skirt is for every body shape. Anything with a...

Happy Friday, beautiful friends!

I'm super excited it's Friday, I always am and I'm sure you are, too!

It's no secret that I love wearing colors and prints, much of my wardrobe consists of these two; they make me happy, although I also love playing around with neutrals! A super easy way I like to style my printed pieces is to pull out a couple of the colors found within the pattern to further enhance the colors in the design, which will also create a bit of a cohesive flow for the whole look. This was my approach when styling these floral leggings. I wanted to...

Happy Hump Day, beautiful friends!

In yesterday's post, I provided 4 very easy tips on how to wear a colorful pairing. This look is yet another visual to add to the archive; you all know that I love my color! I swear, if I were a makeup artist, I'd have rainbow eyes and lips all day, haha...just kidding, but I would have colorful looks, but makeup is sooo not my strong point, to say the least, haha! This look is one that's been inspired by the fall-time foliage. I'm seriously enthralled by nature, particularly during the transitional seasons. I don't really care for winter because I feel like I'm constantly surrounded by death; the trees are so dead and the streets look so....

Bag in photo: My favorite Michael Kors (very similar style here)

Happy Tuesday, beautiful friends!

You all know how much I love wearing color, so I wanted to share some simple tips you can keep in mind when creating your own colorful pairings. Especially since I've heard some of you mention how you tend to shy away from color because it can be a bit of a challenge, when trying to combine different colors together in one look, without it being too much. Of course the more color you wear, the more of a statement your outfit will be, drawing eyes on you! With that, we want to make sure that the colors blend nicely, which is actually not that hard to do, so let's get into it, shall we?!
