DN: Latin Cuisine

Happy Saturday Lovelies!

Last night, Eddie and I went to one of the best restaurants that we've been to for a very long time. The food was Latin and what I loved about the menu was that a dish from an array of Latin countries was offered, with a nice contemporary twist, which made many of the dishes unique, yet in many was still traditional. For example, the first appetizer that you see below is a quinoa, eggplant, and goat cheese empanada, served with a chocolate sauce. I've never seen this offered anywhere and it was extremely delicious! The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the dessert. I don't believe that the restaurant has their own dessert chef. We ordered the fondue, perhaps since we still had it fresh in our minds from the last time we paid a visit to the Chocolate Room a few weeks ago, but it was anything but what the CR offers. Despite the lack of flavor and creativeness in the dessert area, we felt that the actual food made up for that, so we will definitely be coming back and perhaps order something different from the dessert menu to give them a second chance.

MY DINNER: Organic chicken stuffed with plantains and chorizo

OUR DESSERT: Bananas, strawberries, pineapple, and marshmallows with chocolate fondue

As for my outfit, I felt like wearing shorts, again. I've been loving the whole shorts and tights look lately, especially with these Nine West ankle boots that are so versatile! I chose to add some interest to the overall black and white ensemble, by wearing these printed floral tights, which I absolutely adore. Every time I wear them, I always receive a ton of compliments! I added a pink lip for color as well as a bold chunky pink necklace that you can barely see peeking through, since I was so cold, I decided to keep my fashion scarf on while shooting the pics, hehe. I do feel that I will be wearing these shorts a lot during the fall/winter months, since they are black and white and can be worn and styled with practically anything!
