Happy Humpday, friends

When it comes to fall there are a handful of prints and patterns that come immediately to my mind, one of which is plaid or tartan. We see it everyone from blanket scarves to shirts to skirts, you name it!

Today I'm sharing the print in the form of a shirt dress, one of my favorite kind of dresses because it's so easy to wear and style! You can belt it to refine your waistline, while also dressing it up or without for a more casual on-the go style. I'd probably only wear the dress without a belt if I were to pair it with a leather jacket because I feel it would help to balance out the lack of shape in the dress.

For this look, I went for a more edgy vibe. You guys, I just seem to keep coming back to this style, haha. I'm telling you, fall has a way of bringing out the NYC grunge style in me! Next time around, however, I plan on styling it in a more chic way, by adding a black turtleneck and pointed toe boots and perhaps style my hair differently. It's amazing how simple tweaks in an outfit can change the whole vibe entirely! It also goes to show how versatile this kind of dress is; the pattern is perfect for fall and is flattering for every body shape, since you can do so much with it in terms of creating the effects you want to suit your body shape needs and preferences.

Do YOU like wearing plaid during the fall?

Thanks so much for stopping by, my gorgeous, friends and I hope you're having a wonderful week so far!

PS: I apologize if some of the photos appear a bit blurry, it was a bit windy when we were trying to take them and the lens was having a hard time focusing!
