Happy Wednesday my beautiful friends!
It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, during the time both my girls weren't feeling too well. As a result, I wasn't able to do anything too crazy, but honestly, I didn't mind it and we managed to have a great time anyway. A new chocolate shoppe opened up nearby and we ordered some dulce de leche stuffed croissants and sang Happy Birthday. Unconventional without a cake, but I wasn't in the mood for one this year. I had tried their desserts a month before my birthday and was craving them, so I figured it was the perfect time. Plus, I didn't want the temptation for leftover cake because I'm trying to get back into the sing of things with my diet and exercise. I actually don't follow a specific diet, I just don't know how to phrase it. We pretty much eat dairy and meat free during the week and cheat on Saturdays and Sundays. Since having Ariah, cooking has been a challenge though. I've been getting better, but my days are so busy and tiring. On days that I'm just too tired, I have Eddie pick up some vegan takeout, but there's nothing like cooking your own food. You control how much of everything.
When I was putting this outfit together, I told Eddie this is what I'd wear if we were going on a date night. He absolutely loves this top. When I first got it, he wasn't too fond of it, until he saw it on and styled. It's very billowy, which I've really been into this year, along with ruffles and prints. I love that it comes with a belt to cinch the waist in to taper things more. Though this particular top has sold out (do keep checking ASOS if you really like it, since they do restock as they get returns) I've found a very similar option here.
I have to admit, I never used to be into snakeskin. The only animal print I've ever really worn or gravitate towards was leopard print and maybe an occasional zebra. Since snakeskin is trending pretty hard this season, I've really opened up to it. I especially love those in a grey, brown, and red color palette. The latter being a bit more sexy and great for a bold, night out statement.
Are you feeling snakeskin this season?
Thanks for stopping by, my friends, and I hope you have a great day. I look forward to talking with you in Friday's post!
