Hey Guys!
Today's post is actually a look I wore yesterday to a meeting in NYC for a clothing brand I will be introducing to you all here on the blog soon, which I'm really excited about because I feel it really is a suitable brand for all of you!
The day started off really nice and relatively warm, well, at this point anything in the high 50's and 60's seems very warm to all of us around here, since we experienced such a brutal winter! As the day went on, though, it became more and more windy and the temperature dropped.
Since the weather doesn't necessarily want to agree with the calendar and season we're in, I think blending dark toned colors with floral prints is a great way to encompass that spring vibe, yet seem appropriate for the current weather. I just purchased this top from Marshall's, which was featured in my recent video on selecting the best necklaces for your necklines (watch HERE). I mentioned in the video that this neckline is great for us pear shaped ladies, since it provides a bit of width to our upper bodies, making the hips appear less wide. That being said, you can definitely pair a top like this with a more dramatic flared out skirt that you may not otherwise select because of the additional width to the hips, but in this case, the top would help balance that out ;) However, for this look, I chose to wear an a-line skirt in a color that is also found in the top to pull it out, since it's so subtle.
So what do you think of the look?
