I came up with an outfit idea that I thought you'd like, which features a combination of two pastel colors, orange and mint. Mint is probably at the top of my list when it comes to colors that I think of during the spring season and is certainly a trendy color this spring! I wanted to fuse this dainty feminine color with some spice and flare, which is why I opted for this light orange/coral color to pair it with. What I love about mint is that it goes well with either silver or gold based accessories, whereas, the coral, I feel, works best with gold, making mint a spring season staple. So let me explain why I chose this outfit/look in particular.
What I love about this dress is it's plunging neckline and corset top, which makes it extremely flattering for nearly every body shape, since the neck and upper chest area is a universally flattering body part/area. Since the bottom portion of the dress is printed and comes up high on the waist it gives the illusion of or enhances a smaller waist line. i chose a necklace that comes low in between the chest area to balance out the eye when looking at the overall look. You don't want one body part to necessarily stand out more than the rest because it will give the appearance of un-equally proportion frame, which you don't want. The necklace helps attract the eye upwards, the thin waist belt further enhances the waist line and the printed bottom and mint shoes bring attention to the lower body. I chose stud earrings instead of dangling because I didn't want it to clash with the necklace, but the studs still provide some interest because of the rhinestone in the center and it's shaped as a flower. So in the end, we have a well balanced semi-casual spring look!
