Hello Ladies!
If you watched this week's video (watch HERE), then you'd recognize this flannel shirt that I'm wearing, since I featured it as a fall fashion trend. I've never really been a fan of anything flannel, but my taste and style in clothing has been evolving, especially since I first began blogging 10 months ago! I'm more open to try new trends and pieces that I wouldn't have typically reached for before. So when I'm posting these outfit photos and I'm inspiring you, I'm also inspiring myself, as I look back on all my past posts.
So for the first outfit that I've ever worn using flannel, I wanted to go for something feminine, which is why I chose to pair it with this beautiful a-line skirt; I've mentioned time and time again how a-line skirts compliment every body shape, especially the pear and hourglass, since they don't add any unwanted volume to the hips! I felt the colors went perfectly and that they made for a good and unique combination. I opted for my newest addition to my purse family, also featured in this week's video, because I wanted to pull out some of the blue in the shirt. To add a bit of interest, I also wanted to incorporate another pattern, so I chose my antique Steve Madden polka dotted shoes. I call them antiques because I've had them for forever and I've problem worn them a total of 3 times, don't ask me why. 'Common, you know you have pieces in your closet that you've only worn a couple of times, if that, lol! Anyway, I hope that you guys like the look and of course, feel inspired to recreate it on yourselves!
