Happy Hump Day, beautiful friends!

As many of you know, rose quartz is one of the colors of the year, next to serenity blue or baby blue. You'll notice a wide range of hues all characterized under this name, ranging from those with a more warmer, golden hue to those that have a bit of a mauve, ashy-grey hue, such as this dress, which is why I decided to pair it with these grey over the knee (OTK) boots. I purchased these boots sometime at the beginning of winter, which you've seen me wear quite often, and believe it or not, this dress was actually one of the main reasons I wanted grey OTK boots; I had been wanting to style it with a pair for the longest time! It's also one of my favorite sweater dresses. I love sweater dresses that have a cowl neck because they help to add dimension to my upper body, balancing out my hips.

There are two kinds of pear shapes, those that have more of a spoon shape, like myself, where the torso is longer, the hip bones protrude and the hips are wide. The hips on the classic pear shape extend outward immediately at the hip, without that dip where the hip bones are, which is more typical if you don't have a longer torso. I find that with the first type, it can be a bit more of a challenge in wearing fitted dresses, as the dip is more noticeable if there isn't a volumizing or widening effect at the neckline or bust. For this reason, I suggest wearing a dress with a wider neckline, a cowl neck, or perhaps one that has a crop top effect, to help balance out this shape's proportions.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and most importantly, found it helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and I hope you have the best day!
