Hello all you hard working women!

Today's W3 post is about my all time favorite fashion topic...shoes! I think shoes allow for us to play around a bit when we are unable to do so directly with apparel. Which in many cases, one cannot fully express themselves fashionably at work because of their attire requirements. So, if you are employed at a place where either a uniform or dress code is in place, but allows for you to wear shoes of your color/pattern choice, then I hope you find this post helpful!

I've selected some of my most "work appropriate" shoes that I could find in my closet, that would definitely spark some interest. All of the shoes that I have selected would compliment a black or beige uniform dress code. Now, you may notice that I didn't include any flats in this segment. The reason being, I don't have too many in my closet. In fact, I think I only have about 2 or 3 compared to a LARGE collection of heels. But, I would suggest that you ALL purchase

at least one pair of flats, preferably black, since it goes with everything. The reason I strongly suggest this is because if you are one who works long hours or who is constantly on your feet, eventually, you're feet will begin to hurt and you don't want to form any blisters....ouch! Always carry a pair in your purse or an additional bag. Here in New York City, it's not uncommon to see women dressed in perfectly tailored suits worn with SNEAKERS! LOL. I don't care too much for that look, I rather wear flats :)

Things to remember when purchasing heels/shoes for work:

1. Neutrals, which include both metallics & animal print. They go with EVERYTHING!!!

Gucci Guccissima Soft Metallic Mauve shoe

Boutique 9 for Nine West Leopard print shoe

2. Solid jewel colors. They're vibrant and add interest without being overwhelming, since they are darker in color.

Gucci Guccissima Soft Metallic Selva shoe

                                 Gucci Guccissima Soft Florentia shoe

3. Don't be afraid to color block. Keep you're entire ensemble toned down, add a splash or splashes of color to your outfit with your shoes!

Nine West Puravidao Pedder Plum shoe

                              BCBGeneration blue color block shoe

So just remember, there are always ways to express yourself in the world of fashion, even if you have to wear a specific color, but are given leniency with your shoes. I hope you all found this helpful! I have already worn some of these shoes in my Looks Of The Day posts, but continue to visit to see how I style all of them on future W3 posts!
