Hey Guys!

I know I usually post my date night recaps on Sundays, but yesterday I wasn't feeling too well and then as I started to get better, I just wanted to take some time to relax, so I'd be better for the week, but on Saturday, Eddie and I went to a restaurant in an airport. I know, that does sound kind of weird, but it's a five star restaurant and they had a promotion on Groupon, so we figured, why not...it'll make for an interesting date, lol! We had a great time and our table had a perfect view of all the planes, so we were able to see them as the arrived and departed, which we always like watching, as adults, we still find it pretty cool. Their food did not taste like airport food, since as I mentioned, it's a five star restaurant and people do dine there who aren't traveling, so expectations are high, plus you can see for yourselves that the food looks nothing like what's served in the airport restaurants or airplanes.

EDDIE'S APPETIZER: A walnut and cranberry salad

MY APPETIZER: Lobster bisque (look at the size of this portion!!!)

EDDIE'S ENTRÉE: Steak and potatoes with green beans

MY ENTRÉE: Salmon with tomatoes, capers, olives, and artichokes

When it comes to my outfit, I wanted to go for something that was semi-casual, since the ambiance of the restaurant was said to be a bit of a relaxed setting. I've worn this skirt on a date night before, but I paired it with a dressier blouse and nude heels, which dressed the look up a bit more. Here, I paired it with a simple black shirt and heels. What I love most about this skirt, aside from the beautiful color combinations and shimmery detail, is that it's an a-line cut. This style or cut is the most flattering for every body shape. It merely skims the surface of the hips and thighs, not adding unnecessary width and volume to the hips, which I'm sure required much thought, since the fabric is much like jacquard, a stiffer fabric. So since the skirt was flattering for my shape (pear), I allowed for it to be the statement piece, by keeping everything else a solid black.
