Hey Guys!

For last night's date, Eddie and I paid a visit to one of his potential client's Italian restaurant in Connecticut. They had a brick oven, which if you are familiar with brick oven pizza and are able to taste the difference, you know how awesome it is to discover a brick oven pizzeria. While they do of course make pizzas, it's more of a restaurant and city gem gathering place, where most of the food is cooked and baked in that brick oven. The atmosphere was very social, which I like. I loved how there was an extensive menu, full of various mixtures and creative dishes. When we asked the owners (husband and wife) what they'd suggest for an entrée, the wife suggested a dish called Mare Cotto. It was a seafood mixture cooked in a puff pastry. I did take a photo of it, like I usually do, but I took one of it only while it was in the shell and not after I broke it, so I figured it was pointless to show you guys if you weren't able to see what was inside. The reason I mention it though, is because out of all the Italian restaurants we've been to (we've been to our fair share), this was the first one I've seen anything like this offered, which definitely left an impression on me. I'm all about creativity and being innovative and I feel since there are sooooo many Italian restaurants within the tri-state area of the Northeast, it's imperative to be creative and think of new dishes that aren't typically offered by chefs, and they did just that, not only with my dish, but with most of the dishes I read on the menu.

For my outfit, I decided to create a bit of a funky concoction again, lol. I wore these houndstooth pants on the blog before, but this time around I paired them with a white cami and black blazer and some pops of hot pink, which I received compliments on while walking on the street I feel that this is a look that could be worn to work and easily transition for a night out. Perhaps wear a nude lip or lighter pink to tone the look down in the office and put on the bold lip when heading out. What do you think?!
