Happy Monday my beautiful friends!
If there’s one fabric other than denim I absolutely love it’s leather. I love the edginess it adds to any outfit and how it can be just as versatile as classic denim, since it comes in many forms.
Today, I’m wearing yet another piece you’ve seen countless times here on the blog, these pair of faux leather shorts. If you love leather as much as I do, then I believe you’d love and get plenty of wear out of a pair of leather shorts! Especially if you tend to wear leather pants or leggings often in the colder months. The approach to styling is fairly simple. You can dress them up or down, pairing them with a simple tee or one with a fun summery detail, like this eyelet flutter sleeve top or just a simple tank or tee will do. The texture in the shorts will add enough interest to the overall outfit for you to keep everything else to the minimum if you so choose.
I wasn't able to find a pair of brown leather shorts that had enough of a size selection to share with you, so I'm linking a pair of black. They'd have a stronger edgier effect on an outfit than brown, but they'd be just as versatile. If you do happen to come across a pair of brown, you'd at least have an idea on how to style them in advance though!
When it comes to options with fit and style, if you’re one who’s a bit insecure with your legs, I’d suggest a pair of leather culottes. They’re loose and allow for you to show off a bit of ankle, which is also a great way to showcase a pair of fab statement shoes. Since they’re not form fitting in addition to the length, you shouldn’t feel hot and uncomfortable. If you’re petite, I’d suggest opting for a pair of shoes that are within the same color palette or perhaps even gold sandals to prevent a shortening effect to the legs or having the shorts appearing as though they’re overwhelming you overall.
Fashion aside, how was everyone’s weekend? I hope you had a great one! We had a barbecue yesterday per Aviah’s request. She loves a good BBQ while playing in the blow up pool and sprinklers we got them at the start of summer. I highly suggest the sprinkler pool! It’s one of those toys that every kid can enjoy and doubles as a baby pool. Who am I kidding, Eddie and I have a blast in it, too! (lol) All you need is to attach it to a hose!
Thanks for stopping by, my friends, and I hope you have a great week!
