Happy Hump Day, beauties!

One of my favorite fall pieces that I'm beginning to wear now is the long vest. It's absolutely perfect to wear and layer with practically everything in your closet, providing a nice, clean and sophisticated touch to the outfits you create. It can certainly serve as an alternative to a blazer, depending on your work environment of course.

I loved the idea of wearing it over a shift dress, creating a perfect mixture of 60s and modern style. I understand that some may feel that the two can appear too boxy or that one's shape can easily get lost, you're right, it is and it can. However, there are some simple tweaks you can make if you're not crazy about the shape or lack thereof. Simply belt the vest and voilà you've created a nice feminine shape that's sure to be flattering, easy right?! Also, if you're petite and are hesitant on wearing a longer vest because you feel it may make you appear shorter, try wearing nude shoes, which will help visually lengthen the leg, which will help to balance the lengthening effect of the vest.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!
