Happy hump day, beauties!

I hope you're all having a wonderful week so far! Today's look is a bit monochromatic, as I'm wearing mostly navy blue, which is a color I love most come winter. When I wear monochromatic outfits, I like to incorporate different textures and styles to help create interest and dimension, otherwise, I find that if all the pieces are the same in texture, the pairing could look rather flat and boring. I, once again, decided to belt my vest, to create a more polished and figure flattering effect. I used a gold waist belt to add some interest and further enhance the focal point of my waist; I highly suggest if you have a rectangular shape, you consider doing this as well when creating a monochromed outfit with a vest, as it can help to visually distinguish your upper and lower half, which could easily get lost in a monochrome outfit. I wanted to add an additional splash of color, so I opted for these grape colored velvet loafers. I'm loving velvet this season; I think it's a luxurious and festive fabric to experiment with during the holiday season! This is my first time featuring these on the blog, but I've actually worn them a few times on the weekends when I wanted to dress up my casual outfit a bit. Lastly, I added this taupe Michael Kors purse because I think that all shades of taupe work rather well with navy, since they have a bit of a cool undertone.

I hope you loved and felt inspired by today's pairing! What's your favorite color to wear when creating a monochrome outfit? Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your day is as fabulous as you, my beautiful friends
