Hey Guys and Gals,

I wore this look on Sunday for brunch and I absolutely love the way it turned out and I of course hope you do as well!

Have you ever gone shopping and saw an item that you immediately thought would look fantastic paired with something else you just recently purchased? Well, that was the case with these items. The first purchase were these floral oxfords. I bought them because I envisioned myself wearing and styling them in a multitude of ways, which is essential. If you don't see yourself wearing an item in various ways in your mind at the store, chances are you won't even end up wearing it at all, at least that's been my personal experience! Anyway, the second item in the look I found was this oversized cardigan and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to pair it with an earth-toned colored bottom, but they didn't have any at the store at the time, so I purchased it and kept the style idea in the back of my mind. Then, about a week later, I "accidentally" walked into TjMaxx and found these bottoms and there you have it, the look was born in that very aisle, in my head!

The entire look is reflective of one of my favorite boroughs, Brooklyn. It's, I feel, the most eclectic borough in terms of style and creativity, which is why I love it so much. You can easily become inspired in so many ways just by sitting on a bench and observing people walking around so serenely. The whole atmosphere is pretty chill, perfect for a person like me who's always on the go or feels that he/she should always be doing something at every given moment, it'll inspire them to chill, as it does me!

One thing I've noticed, especially in areas such as Park Slope (my favorite hang out) and Dumbo, is that the style is very laid back, earthy, and menswear is pretty much the "it" factor in every outfit. Whether it be in oxfords, or fedoras, or structured purses that resemble briefcases, there's often that finishing touch, which you can see depicted in my outfit.

So, what inspires you? Is there a city or town by where you live or that you like to visit that speaks your style language? Share in the comments' section, I'd love to read about it!

DOES THE LOOK INSPIRE YOU? RECREATE IT!
