Hey everyone!

I hope you're all having an amazing day so far. Today's look is very feminine, with a combination of pink and beige. Pink, to me, is the definition of all things feminine, when it comes to colors. What I love about it is that different shades exude different sides of femininity; the lighter the shade, the softer the feel (our sensitivity) and the darker, the more intense and daring, similar to the emotions affiliated with red. Speaking of colors, if you missed my video on what the different colors we wear mean, watch that video here, I'm sure you'll learn something new! Now back to the look. I decided to pair these hot pink shorts with this beige ruffled satin-like blouse, since the shorts have a layer matching the color peaking through the cut out laser design on the sides. I originally planned on wearing nude shoes, but then I thought it would be more fun and summery if I paired it with these rainbow printed sandals. Since the shoes have green, I decided to through in my lime green purse. I love the way the entire look came together. It still amazes me how we can start off our look with one piece and by adding to it, creating a cohesive look!

One thing I want to point out is, do you notice how my legs appear much longer? That's because the top is tucked in and the shorts are high waisted. I would suggest this or a similar look to those of you who feel that your torsos are too long or that your legs appear shorter, or of course you just want to create the illusion of longer, leaner legs :) I've been asked this question frequently on how to achieve this effect and this look is a perfect example. I also have an entire YouTube video playlist dedicated to dressing and styling according to your height and frame, which you can watch here

Thanks so much for stopping by and check back again tomorrow for a new post!

XO,

Jalisa
