Hey everyone!
I hope you're all having a wonderful day so far, if not, I hope you do after reading today's post! Today's look is a biker-rocker-edgy-yet chic look. We've got quite a lot going on here! Ever since I purchased this vest, which I've been eyeing for about a year now (don't ask why I didn't buy it a year ago, I don't know the answer myself!) and when I finally decided to snag it, one of the looks that came to my mind while trying it on was this one. At that time, however, I didn't have the perfect fitting leather jean/pant. The ones I've had were either too small or stretched out tremendously after the first few wears. The one that I have that's more of a pant style from H&M, I adore, but I was looking for something that resembled a pair of jeans and I finally found it while browsing through a Guess Factory store. The price was right and so was the fit, so it was definitely worth the wait!
Have you ever been on a motorcycle before? I have and the thrill is quite awesome! Here in the states, bikers tend to have a tough look about them, which includes the female entourage. For years, I've admired their accomplished ring stacking and necklace layering, which I know are worn without much thought, but I guess that fits the mood and makes it that much more appealing. I pulled some inspiration of watching these female bikers walk around the city streets, making their stops into the local pubs and billiard halls. Yes, the stereotype which is portrayed in every action packed movie with bikers is true, at least here in NY, especially upstate! The unanimous style of a biker chick encompasses silver, spikes, studs, and leather all of which I've included in this look. However, I feel that mine has a bit of a more feminine twist, since my hair is worn with loose curls and I'm not wearing biker boots. What I've always loved about these boots was that they're cowboy boots, but they have more of an edgy, biker look to them, which I don't tend to see much of.
When it comes to your body shape, all four figures could sport this look without any changes. Of course, you can tweak what you'd like to encompass your personal style or taste, but if not, this entire look is guaranteed to look great on you. I do want to mention that the vest length can certainly change this. What makes this look work for all shapes is that it's not cropped and falls right at the hip bone. If you're an apple or inverted triangle, depending on your comfort level, you may want to avoid a cropped style that will hit between the bust and midsection, it'll create the illusion of a much larger bust and stomach.
I hope you all enjoyed the post and decide to recreate it. If you do, feel free to tag me @jalisasfiles :)
