Hello Beautiful Ladies!
Today was unseasonably mild, somewhere in the 50s and for November, that's pretty warm. But the weather has been quite fickle lately around here, it actually snowed yesterday! So for days like this, I like to break out some of my spring and summer pieces that I know I can still work with, such as this tribal dress. The last time I featured this dress on the blog, it was back when I was vacationing in Aruba!
To make it more fall appropriate, I just added a sweater in a trendy seasonal color, cobalt, and a pair of chocolate brown boots. Since the sweater doesn't do much for my natural curves, I added a neutral waist-belt to maintain that emphasis on my waistline and to create a mid focal point. I suggest you give this technique a try with some of your dresses. Add the sweater on top and if the dress has sleeves and a collar, have them peak out to add some interest to the look and create focal points. I didn't feel the need to add a necklace, since the dress' pattern peaked through the neckline of the sweater, which I thought was just the right amount of interest. If I would have added anything else, it would've looked too busy. To further enhance the fall vibe, you could also add opaque or printed tights and boots in darker and jeweled toned colors.
I hope this outfit pairing inspired you to create more fall looks using some of your warmer month pieces!
