Hello everyone!

It's about time the sun comes out and stays to play! As I'm writing this date night re-cap, the sun is shining and it's so beautiful outside; I'm trying to enjoy it as much as I can, considering the weather we've been experiencing here in New York!

So you guys know how much I love visiting my mother in Brooklyn and just hanging around all the different neighborhoods, which offer beautiful scenery and restaurants, and so many friendly people, yes, friendly, not all of us New Yorkers are as arrogant as often depicted! Now, my husband, who has never really been a city guy, NOW loves to be in Brooklyn, which means that I'll be coming down more often, which I of course don't mind! It honestly has a different aura than any of the other boroughs, something unique, something special!

So for date night, I decided that I wanted to introduce Eddie to one of my favorite restaurants in the Park Slope section, Miriam Restaurant, which is on 7th. I did blog about this place a few months ago, when I had a date night with my mother. He absolutely loved it! The food is out of this world delicious and and very traditional in spices and flavors to the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions. We're planning another date night soon, again in BK, perhaps even next week, to a Mexican restaurant that's ALWAYS crowded and looks good, so stay tuned!

APPETIZERS WE SHARED: Meze (tapas, but Middle Eastern style) Burekas, Spanakopita, Falafel, and hummus with fresh pita bread

EDDIE'S ENTRÉE: The chicken special

MY ENTRÉE: Grilled Dorado served with Tunisian style potato salad with feta and harrisa sauce (DELICIOUS!!!)

For my outfit, I wore these shorts paired with these pink Guess shoes back in Aruba. However, the look then was a bit more simple, since I was on vacation and wanted to feel a little laid back. So this time around, I decided to pair the pieces with this fun top I purchased a few years ago. It's honestly one of my favorites because I love the silver studded detailing and the cut out sleeves. The entire look could be worn, regardless of one's body shape, since there's interest going on from head-to-toe, which is always versatile! So, if you have a patterned short and a top that has some fun and interesting detailing, don't be scared to pair the two together, as long as the top is not too overwhelming, but has subtle details, like the one I'm wearing.  As you can see, I also chose to wear a statement necklace to add more fun on top!
