Happy Friday, friends!

I hope you all had an amazing week and are ready for some weekend fun! I feel today's look would be a perfect weekend outfit, since it's both stylish, casual and comfortable. I want to start from the ground up with sharing my love for wedges and how comfy they can be! If you're not a fan of stilettos or pumps or you find walking in heels uncomfortable, try a pair of wedges. They're so comfy and easy to walk in and they go well with so many different pieces, including maxi dresses/skirts. Sometimes, you may want to add a bit of height when wearing a maxi outfit and many of the other heel styles just don't work, but these certainly do, so give them a try! Plus, aside from espadrilles and traditional sandals, they are definitely a perfect spring shoe. The reason I added these studded wedges was because I felt it added a bit of cohesiveness to the look, since I also have studs on my button down shirt, which I knotted to create a casual feel and to showcase the gold button details on the high waisted pants. I find it to be so much more easier to work with pieces that have these subtle details that either create a cohesive flow or nice touch to your overall outfit, it makes for a more interesting look. Lastly, for a pop of color, I added this red Kate Spade purse because I simply love the way red and olive look together alongside a more vibrant neutral, such as white.

Speaking of neutrals, as the weather begins to warm up a bit, I love to use warmer earthy-neutral shades, such as beige, olive and of course white. They add warmth and that spring/summer vibe to any piece you choose to work with, making it that much easier to extend the life of some of your other seasonal pieces on days where it might be a bit chilly, while still exuding the current spring season.

I hope you like the look and feel inspired to recreate it this weekend! Do you have any fun plans? Thanks so much for stopping by, my dear friends, and I'll see you back here early Monday morning with a new post, Happy Weekend!
