Happy Friday, ladies!
Although Tuesday was the official start of fall, summer really doesn't want to say good-bye; it's been in the high 70s all week here in New York! Even though I'm eager to break out my fall pieces in their entirety, it looks like I'll have to wait a tad longer than anticipated. While I wait for fall to truly settle in, I'll enjoy mixing some of my summer pieces with others that have more of a fall feel. I've styled this teal blue tank in so many ways during the warmer months, but I've never really challenged myself to style it during the beginning weeks of fall, when I feel you can still get away with wearing some summer colors mixed with richer tones. These two colors make for such a perfect combination this time of year and I definitely suggest it to those of you who live in a warmer climate and wish to wear outfits that have somewhat of a fall vibe.
I want to briefly discuss the shape of my skirt and how figure flattering it is. It's a skater skirt, which is basically a shorter skirt with an a-line hem. It's fitted around the waist and slightly flares out towards the hips. This is one of the most flattering skirt styles there is for every body shape. It helps enhance a naturally distinguished waistline or helps to create one. If you have larger hips, it won't make them appear wider, which some shorter skirts that flare out can do. I generally like to tuck in my tops when wearing this skirt style to enhance the feminine feel that the silhouette provides.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and found it inspirational! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
