I hope this week has been treating you well! If not, just breathe and know that only you can control your outlook and attitude! The start of this week wasn't the best for me, even though as soon as I woke up on Monday, I declared how amazing the day and week would be. Life happens and many things are out of our control, except our attitude. I was beginning to develop a bit of a rotten attitude for a moment when things weren't going my way, but then I made myself remember something my hubby shared with me that inspired him, when he was driving and listening to the radio one day. It was about a poll that was given to seniors ages 70+ on what was the best advice they can give the younger generation of today. One of the most popular advice they would all give was to worry less. They shared that many of the things that they had worried about, didn't happen nearly as bad as they thought, if at all! This quickly changed my attitude and I hope it does for you, too, if you're not having such a good day or week. Remember, it's not as bad as it may seem and the worse case scenario may not even happen :)
As for my outfit, it's very retro '60s, wouldn't you say?! I loved growing up in the '90s, but I'm so inspired by both the '60s and '70s fashion! The use of colors and patterns was just so fab and I love to embrace it as much as I can, in my own way and with a modern twist, of course!
Now, one thing you should know if you didn't before is that large patterns will make the area it's worn appear larger. However, if you pair it with an oversized piece, for example, as I did here with this poncho, everything is kept in balance. I simply adore this poncho because it's chunky and I love the turtle neck.
