Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm so glad it's Friday, it's been a bit of an intense week, but I can't really complain because it did kind of go by fast! For today's look, I was able to break out my brown leather pants that I purchased on clearance at Zara two summers ago. They are very warm, since they're lined inside, so I wear them when it's a bit cooler out, as it has been. This pairing is inspired by the fall season and the leaves you see around me. I think nature is the best source of inspiration there is, wouldn't you agree?! I also love this cardigan, it's a great choice for me when I want to add a nice fall touch to my outfits, as well as texture and interest. I love the pattern and the color combo is perfect! Now onto the shoes.

1. I am a born and raised New Yorker; I grew up in The Bronx borough.

2. With that, I can tell what borough someone's from based on their NY accent. Yes, there's a difference!

3. I'm the true definition of a mutt: Ashkenazi Jewish, Irish, Afro-Puerto Rican, Colombian, Portuguese and Lithuanian.

4. I survived Catholic school.

5. I was always outside as a kid from dawn 'til dusk. I was the neighborhood leader, a bit mischievous :)

6. I had an intense obsession with cleaning as a child. I would sanitize my doll house on a daily basis and would know immediately if anyone touched anything in my room!

7. I have a nervous laughter. If I see someone fall, for instance, I will most likely laugh, but not to be mean, I just get nervous!

8. I wear contacts. I wore glasses since the first grade.

9. I had a really bad in-toeing "pigeon toed" condition when I was little, I would trip over myself when I walked! I had to wear special shoes to bed and inserts in my shoes during the day to straighten my feet. Think run Forest, run... I still toe-in when I relax my feet :)

10. Pizza is my weakness. Ok, now I'm craving it!

11. I've been told I'm funny; I'm such a goof ball!

12. I'm really, really, really clumsy! Keep me far away from glass.

13. I wanted to become a neurosurgeon; I hold a science degree and I worked at New York State's Psychiatric Institute at Columbia University as a research assistant for 2 years.

14. I started babysitting at 11. I was pretty mature :)

15. I worked at Ann Taylor Loft for about a year. This is when I realized how much I loved styling people (I was always placed in the fitting room).

16. I worked at Dunkin Donuts my first year of college. My hair always smelt like coffee!

17. I got married to my husband at 20. He's my best friend and other half of this blog (I love you, babe!)

18. I have a 13 year old step-daughter (who thinks she's grown!)

19. I frequently challenge myself to talk less and listen more. It's crazy the things people actually say, when you pay attention!

20. One of my best friends is 77!

21. I have an older sister (6 years older)

22. I think I'm a cat because it feels like I have 9 lives. I've had way too many near death experiences!

23. I can't really swim. Perhaps it's because I traumatized myself when I was younger by throwing myself into the Long Island sound off a boat, not knowing how to swim and without a life vest, more than once. Yea, I almost died a few times.

24. I'm a devout Starbuck's coffee drinker.

25. I learned spanish because my mother-in-law stayed with us for 6mths and doesn't speak English. Lol, it was interesting!

26. I'm very indecisive. I frustrate my own self!

27. I lost 25lbs and have kept it off for 9 years and counting!

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me! Now, tell me one fun fact about YOU! I hope you have an amazing day :)

Hey beauties,

So I finally found and purchased a black moto jacket that I actually liked! I've been looking for one for what seems like forever and I just couldn't find the one, until a couple of days ago when strolling through TjMaxx. This jacket was literally calling my name, it was the last one and in my size, common, if that's not a sign, then what is?! I love moto jackets because they help to add a bit of edginess to any outfit, extending the wear of practically everything in our wardrobes. It's amazing how one item can do all that, right?!

Hey gorgeous friends!

So it's boot season and you're struggling to find the perfect pair, I feel you and I'm hear to help! There are some things you can keep in mind that will save you both time and frustration when shopping for boots this season. Believe it or not, our body shapes have a lot to do with how boots look and fit, so they're something we should be considering. This is not to say that we can't or shouldn't buy whatever boots we like, but we may notice that certain styles look better on us and this may explain why!

Happy Monday, beauties!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are off to an awesome start to your week! Today's outfit continues to demonstrate my obsession with '70s fashion. I seriously love everything about this fashion era and I'm so excited in attempting to create outfits with this theme. One popular color from this time is terracotta, which is basically a burnt orange. This color itself will give your entire outfit a '70s feel, so if you don't have anything in your wardrobe that reads '70s chic, but have something this color, you've got enough to work with!

Hi beautiful friends!

A color combo that I've really been into lately is orange and olive. I feel they work perfectly together, particularly in the fall, to create a nice rustic vibe. Naturally I added a grey shirt because when creating a weekend outfit with olive, I feel grey is a perfect addition. To create a bit of a chic finish, I worked in a little leopard with these Tory Burch flats.

Happy Thursday, beauties!

In yesterday's post I mentioned how much I love working with a fur vest, but my love for fur pieces don't stop there, I love fur coats, too! I think fur pieces are the perfect way to easily add a statement to your look, especially if you're working with a basic outfit and want to reach for some accessories to help pull the look together, while creating something special.

Happy Hump Day, girlies!

Like many of you, I'm swooning over the 70s trend this season. It's definitely a fashion era that I can relate to and I truly feel inspired by in so many ways. One of the noted pieces I love the most that reflects this era is suede leather.

Happy Tuesday, beautiful friends!

As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's a topic that's very near and dear to my heart (I did an over 80 page pre-dissertation paper and research study in college) mainly because breast tumors have unfortunately run in my family.

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I'm so happy that it's been feeling a lot more like fall around here, which means that I'm able to break out my boots and I've been beyond excited to wear these, which I purchased on sale at the start of summer and they're still on sale, if you're interested here! I love that they're red and are over the knee.
