Hello Loves!
Have you ever flipped through magazines or watched fashion shows where the models wore different patterns in one outfit and thought to yourself, "I could never pull that off." Well, think again! It's actually easier than you think and of course there is a thought process that goes into it. Never think for one second that in the world of fashion there is never a thought or idea behind what you see, there ALWAYS is! So the question is, how can you pull it off without looking like you got dressed in the dark? Here's what you need to know:
1. Work with different sized prints-Depending on your body shape, place the largest print where you want to appear larger and the smallest print where you want to appear smaller! So for example, an apple shape would wear a smaller printed blouse with a larger printed bottom to flatter her shape!
2. Choose patterns that have the same or similar colors- So if your floral top has blue flowers, then your striped bottom should have a similar shade of blue.
3. Select patterns that have a neutral background- The patterns could have a base color of either brown, black, white, or gray.
4. Only choose two pieces in your outfit with patterns- All other pieces or accessories in your outfit should be solid in color.
I hope you found this post helpful and that it gave you the information AND confidence you need to create a mix patterned look of your own!
