Hey Girlies!
On Thursday, I had the opportunity to attend the launch party for Artistix’s denim line. You may recall back in April, I attended the bi-annual Red Light PR Press Preview. At the preview, I was introduced to Artistix and featured the line on my write-up covering the event, which you can check out here.
At the preview, I wasn’t able to meet Greg Polisseni, the artist and designer of the line, personally, but this time around I was and took some photos with him. He is so amazingly talented and the idea to turn his drawings and paintings into wearable works of art, featuring his own paintings, is genius!
Instead of having a typical showing where the pieces being launched are displayed on a hanger or shelf, models were walking around wearing his signature Artistix tee shirts, as well as the jeans.
Each piece in the collection is made in the U.S. and Greg explained, captured in photos below, that his main objective for doing so was to create more job opportunities here at home, which is awesome!
WHAT I WORE:
I know you guys may already be getting tired of seeing this red purse, but honestly…I’m in love, hehe. Everything except the necklace is from Marshall’s and in fact, I got sooo many questions about where I got my outfit and modestly responded, Marshall’s. You guys know that’s my go-to spot!
I was going for feminine meets edgy, since Artistix has a very edgy and rocker vibe. The black and white combination was very classic and the skirt with the floral print gave off the feminine vibe I was going for, while the spiked necklace and my hair being pulled back into a ponytail, helped add that rocker vibe I was going for.
