I hope you all had a great weekend! As you all know, I'm a huge lover of all things bold in color and pattern. When it comes to a specific piece, it can really do all the talking for you, allowing you to go pretty simple or basic everywhere else. In recent years, sweaters have become more exciting. We're seeing more than just the classic cable knit or turtleneck. Sleeves have been exaggerated with balloon, trumpet and slouchy styles creating a beautiful contrast to the overall casual number. This makes it a perfect match for a pair of plain skinny jeans and a pair of boots or sneakers of your choice. I love them even more when done in fun colors, such as bubblegum pink. To add further excitement, why not opt for one with a colorblock design? As you know, I'm a fan, having styled one in this blog post.
In general, the statement sweaters we now see encompass an 80s/90s feel, which you can further enhance by adding a pair of bold earrings, which look especially chic when done with a turtleneck sweater with your hair pulled back! To create more of a contemporary or modern feel, just opt for a pair of classic skinnies and an OTK boots and your good to go. Either way, you're sure to elevate your casual look.
