Happy hump day, beautiful friends!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving was nearly a week ago?! I know I can't; time is surely escaping me, who feels the same?! Anyway, today's look features a mix of fabrics and textures, something I enjoy experimenting with, as I do with mixing colors and prints. I think I just have an inclination to mix things up, rather than leaving things as is, haha. These velvet pants are one of my seasonal favorites, especially since they're a deep hunter green, making them even more perfect and festive come December! One of the ways I like to style them is with neutrals, particularly nude or beige. When it comes to the fabrics, I think velvet and soft suede look great together, especially when the colors of the pieces blend nicely, which is generally the case when working with neutrals. The mixture of these two create somewhat of a casual feel, but I wanted to somehow dress up the two, which is why I opted for the silk-like ruffled blouse. I think the combination of the 3 make for a trendy combo, since all 3 were huge on the runways for fall/winter 2015; silk wasn't necessarily a trend, but the style of this one fit into the popular Edwardian scheme.

What are your thoughts on either of these 3 textiles? Which are your favorite and how do you like to wear them? Do you like to mix them with other fabrics or allow them to be the star fabric of your look? Share your thoughts in the comment's section, I'd love to know!

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!
