How was your holiday weekend? We had a great time grilling, though it was a bit chilly and gloomy. The weather has been so crazy these past couple of months especially. One day it's extremely hot and humid and the next it's chilly and rainy and what's even more crazy is that we're about to enter into June! How's the weather where you are?

As many of you know, if you've been reading the blog for the past couple of months, then you'd know that I've been going through a rough season. I don't want to harp on it, but at the same time, I feel that sometimes it's necessary to get a little real and be open and honest about life. With social media and its perfect looking and carefully curated photos, it can be easy to give the appearance of having a perfect, well put together life either intentionally or unintentionally. As creatives, many of us do so unintentionally because we use the blogosphere as a creative outlet, but sometimes it's necessary to share what we're going through, so that our readers are reminded that we, too, are human and experience hard, trying times as well.

Happy Wednesday my beautiful friends!

Today I'm styling a top I received courtesy of MY Fashion Crate this past weekend. If you watched my unboxing video this past weekend, it's the piece I wasn't sure was a top or dress. Though I loved the print when I first saw it in the package, I honestly wasn't expecting the beautiful ruffle details on the arms, which makes it that much more beautiful! I absolutely love it and might wear it to a baby shower I'll be attending this upcoming weekend.
