One of this spring's hottest trends is anything and everything metallic, the most popular being silver, gold and rose gold. I think they're great alternatives to wearing your most commonly worn solid or printed naturals, such as black, nude and leopard. Basically, anywhere you'd comfortably insert a neutral, you can substitute it with a metallic. Choosing the right metallic for your skin tone is extremely important because you want to ensure that it doesn't clash against your skin, so how do you know which one is perfect for you? If you are cool toned, i.e. your blue veins are more prominent, then silver would be your best bet. If, on the other hand, your veins appear more green, gold would be a more suitable option. If you are neutral, meaning both blue and green veins are noticeable, you can wear either silver, gold or rose gold. Rose gold is also a universally flattering metal, so either cool or warm tones can wear them, too! I think the best way to wear metallics are with accessories, such as purses or shoes. They help to create an accent to your look and don't look over powering, due to the sheen finish.
