Hey Guys!
For this week's work look, I chose this oh so comfy and colorful dress by Calvin Klein I purchased a few weeks ago from Marshall's. I fell in love with the watercolor print and color, as well as the cut and style of the dress. It fits like a glove and the material is so comfortable; it moves with my body, yet doesn't ride up when I walk, which is always so annoying, especially if you're walking around to different offices and departments all day!
I feel the color combination makes for a real transitional piece. I think it can be worn all year long, depending on the colors you chose to pull out of the dress. For example, if you need or like to wear blazers or cardigans to work, you'd pull out the darker blue or purple for the fall and winter months, the lighter green for the spring, and the turquoise for the summer. While it's great and perhaps more versatile when we select solid colored dresses, multicolors can also provide that same versatility, depending on how we style it. In fact, for those chillier months, we can wear a sweater on top and have the bottom half act as a skirt. Perhaps I'll do a pairing like that come fall!
Another detail I love about this dress is the fold over or layering effect on the side of the waist. This is great for all my apple shapes, since it instantly slims the midsection, so if you can find a dress that has a similar effect, grab it!
