Hey Beauties!
I trust that you all had a wonderful Memorial Day spent with loved ones. This is the outfit I wore yesterday at a family gathering, which I know is not necessarily patriotic, but I felt it was the perfect day to sport a really bright and light weight outfit, especially since it hit near 90! I purchased these palazzo pants a few months back at Marshall's; I fell in love with the color and print combination. Since these style of pants have a very boho feel to them, I decided to bring out that vibe and theme for the entire look, which I feel came together rather nicely, would you agree?
Palazzo's are making there come back from the early 2000's, but in more colorful and printed versions, making them more visually appealing. I would consider them a trend, so I would not suggest splurging on a pair, regardless of how nice or which designer made them! I paid under $20 and that I feel is the limit to something like this, or at least no more than $25. You can definitely get your hands on a pair in more affordable stores, such as Marshall's, Tjmaxx, Charlotte Russe, and Joyce Leslie to name a few.
Since I was working with a printed bottom, I decided to add some interest on top by not only by wearing a pop of color found in the pants in my tank, but also a statement necklace in a geometric shape as well. Remember in my video on selecting the best necklaces for the various necklines (if you didn't watch the video, you can watch here), I mentioned that for square necklines, the ideal necklace would be one that has a geometric shape as well; so I went for a Y shaped one, which complimented the neckline.
