This week's date night was extra special, of course, since we we celebrated Valentine's Day. We ate at one of our favorite steakhouses and I've noticed for the past few years, we've been going to a steakhouse for our Valentine's Day dinners, without intentionally planning it, I guess we associate love with intense flavor, lol. The food was great of course! On Friday, actual V-Day, Eddie brought home a beautiful bouquet of flowers and cupcakes. Have you ever felt that your boyfriend or husband doesn't listen to you when you talk sometimes (I'm sure MANY of you feel like this from time to tome, lol)? Well, for the past few weeks I've been wanting cupcakes and usually when we're lounging around the house, I'd start saying how I wished we had some cupcakes in the house. Then, in walks the hubby on the most romantic day of the year with a bag of four cupcakes (which I posted pics of on Facebook)! I was shocked! The first thing I thought and said was, "you were paying attention all this time!!!!" So, a lesson to be learned is that when we think they're not listening, they sometimes are. I said sometimes because we know it doesn't happen as much as we'd like, lol!

As for my outfit, I wanted to go with the typical Valentine's Day colors, pink. My shawl is actually radiant orchid, but I was still able to get away with it, since it's in the pink family, which made for a nice color blocking contrast with the dress. I mentioned to you guys on Wednesday's post that I was able to find this dress earlier in the week at Marshall's. I didn't even in go there with the intent of looking for a pink dress, but I fell in love with the color and key hole cut out on the bust and the rest is history (smiles).
