Happy Wednesday, my sweet friends!
Don't you love it when you shop your closet and create an outfit out of pieces you've had forever, but at the same time think, "why didn't I think of this sooner?" Well, that's exactly what happened when creating today's outfit. Would you believe that the top is actually a romper? I styled it a couple of years ago in this post. The shorts I'm wearing today are a little longer and looser than the romper, so I was able to layer comfortably.
What I love about the romper is how flattering the design is, which features a wrap front and slits along the sleeves. Not only are slit sleeves (say that three times!) perfect for summer, but they can visually slim the arms, so if you're one who's a bit self-conscious about your arms, this detail would be something to look for. You get some of that (breathable) coverage.
As for the wrap detail, we all know that wrap styles are flattering on all body shapes. What makes it so flattering is that it can conceal a larger midsection and flatters a larger bust, making it a great option if those are areas you'd like to flatter specifically.
Have you ever worn any of your clothing in unique ways? If you're curious to learn how you can style a dress as a blouse, check out this post from the archives!
I hope you're all having a great week so far, my sweet friends!
