The Button & Cognac Sandal Trends in One Look

For the past several weeks, I've been seeing so many cute button detailed pieces at some of my favorite stores and on my Instagram feed. It's mostly in a vertical design on tops, dresses and skirts, which makes for such a flattering detail, since it downward, visually slimming and elongating the body. The buttons are also quite notable either in a larger size or a sharp color contrast to the piece itself.

If you follow me on Instagram (you totally should ;) and happened to watch my IG story on my Sephora sale haul, then you'd remember me sharing this Caudalíe Deep Cleansing Exfoliator. I was in need of a new exfoliator because the one I'd been using wasn't doing the job for me. I have combination/oily skin with larger pores, so I need an exfoliator that's gentle, yet still abrasive enough to clean everything out and help minimize my large pores.

Today I want to share what my experience has been since using it for the past month or so, as promised.

On Friday, we talked about how lace is a great fabric for summer nights especially. If you missed that post, you can give it a read here!

Today, we'll be discussing yet another fabric that's ideal for the warmer months, particularly when going the more dressy route for either work or to dress up a denim look and that's satin.

It's a fabric that's been trending for quite a while, mainly since the 90s comeback began, as well as the pajama trend. Many luxe pajamas are done in this fabric pointing to the reason as to why it's great for the summer, it's cool and comfortable. The soft texture brushes the skin in a way that's comfortable, not to mention it looks luxe. I also love the fluid effect it has when worn in a loose, flowy fit, like the shirt I'm wearing.
